He hid with his wife in Zoliborz. They lived at an Orthodox priest's place; he didn't know they were Jews. Not to raise the priest's suspicions, Susswein rent a room near, from a lonely lady with little daughter. He went there in the morning and came back at 4 o'clock. In this way, he pretended to work. He informed the lady that he writes a thesis and he doesn't have proper conditions to do that at home. He died during the Warsaw Uprising.
